city lights

Whats new dudes, lets pick up the fucking pace, eh? Pretty shabby around here, and I'm talking about you deadweight fools too. I had a bike wreck last week and am banged up, but looking forward to new bike. I had a break-up too, but looking forward to new ladies very much. Its getting colder in Tokyo, but I hear its about to snow in MPLS. So everyone continue to stay warm and eat a dick!NSFW?
Here is a promo snippet of material that might be on G.U.N.'s first LP whenever it comes out. I like these guys' style; the production is often fraesh.
And could I request for whoever have Tony, Caro, & John full album mp3s to zip them up and post them for me? Haven't heard that in ages and really fiending for it.
Also, Jared or Keith, I'm thinking I want a steel frame, single speed, super smoove B. real cycle. I Don't want to wait until MPLS, but I can if I will get something radiclese and cheaper. Or, how are Surlys?

Yes, awesome. I have that Shankar but have yet to listen to it. Even the reissue of that LP goes for like $40 here.

Jared, what was the name of the company that repressed 500 copies of Tony Caro & JOhn? They are totally awesome.

I don't remember the company off the top of my head. I'll have to go home and look at the record. That is one of the best reissues I own. Love that record too.
as for the bikes. get a steel frame, with a lugged fork. that will be the smoothest ride. single speed is good if you don't have to change gears too much. I imagine tokyo would be a pretty good place for a single speed. I still ride my bike fixed, I love the control I have with a fixed gear. stopping, going, stalling, even cornering seems to make more sense.
since you're in japan, you should look into a bridgestone bike. they make super good frames, and you can't really get them here in the U.S.
sorry to hear about your spill. shit happens. I hope you're ok.
as for the break up, I too had a recent break-up. I feel a bit shitty about it, because there was nothing bad going down between julie and I, in fact, things were about as good as they had ever been with us, but I just couldn't help but feel like I still want to see other people, so I told her, and now I'm single.
Good luck to both of us with the wacky world of dating!

yeah but I think there are too many tight squeezes here in T-town for fixed. Tight roads riding next to taxis whiping by... high curbs.
I had a flipflop hub on that rocket that Keith bekeithed to me, so I was just about to flipflop it too and test out riding tokyo fixxie style. But then, I woke up and I was in my bathtub with blood coming from my head, so I didn't get a chance.

I will give her a shot.

Yes lugged steel frame, thats what Im interested in. I hear bike dudes have boners for "keirin" frames which is Japanese bike racing.

I have a boner.

I think a fixed gear is better for stop and go. as long as it's not a really hard gear, you will be able to manuver through traffic easier.
my word.

Jareds right, fixed gears (after a month or so of riding) increase your manuverability in tight spots. Granted it will scare the shit outta you for a while, but you'll get used to it. Then its all boners, always.

Im gonna be back in minneapolis next week, hopefully we can all get awesome.

Will you be back from Dec. 15th.? till Jan. 5th?
Im just picturing being squeezed against a curb and not being able to keep my left peddle up, clearing the curbs.

Keith, wipe the asshole from your eyes and chime in, you rode that Nishiki for a while fixdified here, right?
