I've been told that they used to called him GainsBAR when he was drunk, and it sounds like the announcer says that at the beginning of the clip. Then again, my non-existant French isn't so hot. What it do JT?

Why did he give up drinking? All I saw there was just a happy guy. He's just a happy guy.
I remember being in France, in a record store, and I asked about Serge Gainsbourg. I had to ask about three times before the guy knew what I was saying. When he finally realized who I was looking for, he went, 'Aah oui, Saaj Gain-Bourh'.
French Moroccan doodes with whom I briefly co-inhabited came from some neighborhood in Paris with his favorite bar or something. They showed me pictures of it all graffitied up. They said it is called GainsBAR and whenever Serge was drunk people referred to him as GainsBAR
