Basso, un primato da padrone
This is Ivan Basso's year. Giro d'Italia started today, but OLN only shows the Sunday races. Good thing I'm not doing too much tomorrow.
Cycling, like all great sports, takes endurance. The games best aren't found in an instace, rather over time their greatness surfaces.
Basso went pro in 1999, and has had a lot of success, and struggles since then, but this is his year.

yes, Basso will dominate this year and, unless tragedy strikes, years to come. he has the whole package. rides stages well, above average sprinter, the best climber since Lance. Also, CSC is a kiler team. Not to mention a handsom devil, meow. Too bad I don't have oln.

Well They're the only station that broadcasts the races on cable, but seriously, why not the whole race? Only Sunday. F dat.
Reading about it is fine, but I have to go online just to find coverage. Last year the star tribune did a great job of covering the Tour De France, but that was because it was Lance's last pro race, and he was going for 7 wins.
I knew the star trib wouldn't continue that coverage after L.A.'s retirement.

I'm a daily reader of the Star Tribune. I skim most of it each day, but spend most of my time in the sports pages. I think the Star Tribune does a great job with sports coverage. However, it's cycling season, yet the Star Tribune hasn't touched on it yet. Last years coverage of the Tour De France was great! Even though Lance Armstrong has retired from professional cycling, the sport is still very much alive. I just wish I could read that sort of thing in your paper.
The Giro d'italia is the second largest race of the season, it starts tomorrow, and I haven't seen a word about it in the Star Tribune.

I support any sport that continues with the dying tradition of champions being rewarded with beautiful virigins--or whatever it is they have those girls there for.
In accoardance with Giro tradition, the winner of each individual stage is rewarded the covetted Cherri De Virgin.
