North Korea's Mass Games; a giant 100,000 strong pep rally of schoolchildren and soldiers in frightening robotic synchronization, in front of a 10,000 panel kid-operated mosaic of North Korea's own interpretations of history (including what North Korea calls its "great victory" in the Korean War, and 'defeating' the Japanese in 1945...?)
In what is known as "the biggest choreographed socialist realism spectacular on earth,’’ half of the country's young soldiers do drills and push-ups and stab the air with bayonnets for the other half of the country who cheers them on while little kids do cartwheels for Il Sung and sing together in one shrill, terrible voice.
