Crime Watch
Upon arriving to work this morning, I read a little from a St. Paul neightborhood newspaper called the Villager. In it there was a crime watch section that had a couple police encounters I thought sounded funny.
Assult - An assault occured at Grand Avenue and I-35E at about 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 21. Two men argued over whose turn it was to hold up their cardboard sign asking for donation. One man stabbed the other in the arm as the argument escalated. Paramedic treated the minor injury. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
Miscellaneous - Police investigated a dispute at O'Gara's Bar and Grill, 164 N. Snelling Ave, just before midnight on Sunday, July 30. The restaurant had donated the party room to a foundation for a fundraiser, but the event's organizers said they did not realize the food was not included and refused to pay the $600 bill.
