Simpsons Movie, Thoughts?
The Simpsons has been on TV for the last 20 years. Last night their 400th episode aired. Love it, or hate it, this summer there will be a movie.
So what can I expect? If I don't like the show anymore, will I still like the movie?

My prediction: no, you will not like the movie.
Regardless of who's writing it, It's just a money making venture. The time has long since past for them to do a good job with this. The movie will be just like the show is now: a stage to shout the most memorable or, at least, the most recognizable catch phrases from 10 years ago. That’s what the show has basically turned into, and that’s what the movie will probably be like too. They reach for the laughs from people who still think its funny when Homer says, ‘Doh!’ regardless of the context. I hope I’m wrong, and that the movie turns out alright, but I think it’s unlikely at this point.
