I think you're right, Matt. They do need a war over there...
the lameness cancels out the fact that it's millions of dominoes that you're watching collapse
the history lesson themes/grab bag of pop culture they pick kind of trivializes everything...
Pyramids of Gihza crumbling, Nanjing tombs crumbling and then Paris Hilton collapsing into a poster of her lost dog, motorcycle guy, then a haunted attic and a random portrait of someone's grandma in 1988...?
Then a catapult launching something onto a wall that crumbles into a bloody mess... Why all the crumbling?
Holland's instinct to shed blood has turned in on itself into self-inflicted violence by wasting huge amounts of time, and waging war on the rest of the world's senses...
and their military is made up of people who have taken nerdlyness to a violent extreme...
Sunnis massacre Shiites in actual bloody wars, and these guys think about how to depict that in the medium of dominos
