Smile For Me Daddy
Having a Grill. It's nothing these days.
Shit, everyone has something on their teeth. I see little kids coming into the record store with grillz on they teeth. It's not always cool. Yesterday I was helping a customer that couldn't even speak right, as a result of having too much metal in his goddamn mouth. Now that is dedication.
This song goes out to my people dedicated like that.
I've been digging on these smooth jazz versions of Dre songs. Check out: How We Do

As many of you may or may or may not be aware, I live in Idaho, way way way north Idaho. Also I am a niteclub deejay, easy money, zero integrity. Anywho, this (Grillz) is the most request song, always. Cuz day be so many thugs in da clubz deez days. It's hilarious, watching kids from a town of 8,000 think they got a grasp of gangsta. I have worked there 7 months and seen two black people. four total outside the club over almost two years. As stereotyping as that sounds, I think it illustrates what little point I have.
cool beat though
Rap isn't about race. A lot of people think it is. A lot of people might say it is, but it's not.
Grillz is a pop song, if I have ever heard one. It really has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with having a good time.
Great Beat! Great Hook!
Keep playing the Hits!
truer words were never spoken. speaking of hits, can you gimmie some insight on club "bangers".
yeah. You want some insight on club bangers? Check out stilllistentogangstamusic.blogspot.com
Justin, aka JJ, does a really good job of posting rap hits, almost everyday of the work week.
other than that, BET is where the hits are shown
Starpoint - "Lastnight"
!!
Ned, what can you get away with playing? You do 10:00 to 1:00 or something?
Like could you play some 80's Italodisco in the early evening, and then have to keep it gully late, or is it more like the crowd wants to hear The Go-Go's and Cyndi Lopper for the ladiez?
recorded any mixes lately?
I will have one to post soon enough...although, since I will now have people staying at my place for the next two weeks, might not be for a while.
I'm still interested in having one golden tooth cap, on my right front bilat inscisor (?).
Matt Stark never really made that happen for me like promised.
Does anyone here use his toothy services yet? That would be awesome.
i think i might have Dr. Stark pull out my wisdom teeth, and then bronze them, dip them in gold and re-insert them into the front of my mouth...
Ned, when you say 'niteclub' do you mean 'night club' or 'strip club'?
If you had become a strip club DJ, then I would say your integrity is shining for all to see. have you seen Video Carnage yet?
but anyway, whatever you may be I love you all the same no matter what rap/race you are (no homos) and want you to dig on this Italo jam by the Pineapples:
Come on Closer (Instrumental edit by me)
(the vocal version is even better)
Yup, nightclub. Zero italo-disco, unfortunately. Although some nights I can hook them with 90's hip-hop. Which proves a rammin jammin time for all dudes, DJs included. I started an open dj night on thurs. so people can come in and rockit with what they got. Typically I play a bunch of Kelley Polaresq house those nights. Hanging Gardens, his new joint, is off da hizz. If I am not mistake, Morgan geist has been dropping a ton of reissues of italo on environ. Oh, I can play cerrone once in a great while.
lander-quist - have you heard any isolee', not we are monster, but the newest one, Western Store? great minimal-house, really soulful.
once i figure out how to, I'll post a track
When you say Cerrone, you mean MY CERRONE RECORD YOU FUCKGIONASSH#O+I%%ATlk:@-nan092435p!@..!!!
Or maybe I just misplaced it. No sweat. I bought that Bob Sinclar/Cerrone think a while back...but "Give me Love" isn't on it, and it's not really that good. Hey Ned, get yr hands on this if you haven't heard it:

Too smoovey.
Thanks, I found the Cerrone in the dollar bin at this record store, 4,000 holes in Spokane. Along with the McDonald & Giles Album and Devo "we are Devo!", $3 - sweet find. They are into nothing but 90's grunge and the wanna-be bands that spawned from that scene. Thus, their "shit" bins are always loaded, always.
If you got the pink label Island Rec. issue McD & G you scored extra big doode.
Hey, but no joke, if you like the boggieish-modern soul slapbass jheri curl style, check out Starpoint's 1st LP.
ryan, ned, jared i love to hear you talk about songs i have never heard, almost as much as hearing them.
that is why we should post all this shit, maybe even start a new blog and clog up yousendit.com with our hot jamz.
by the way, i updated my web page, both the ART section and the LOMOGRAPH section...

ned, we should exchange mixes soon, i had never heard of Isolee before, i found Western Store... That last track 'Beau Mot Plage' really should be a whole other album. really unique.
Being a fellow Nordiclander, I think you would really like some sounds from the vaterland, specifically anything by Lindstrom.
==============
Lundquist, You posted that Pinnapples track, but we need to post the version with my vocals over it. You know, start some underground hype for The Man.
I think we could all be posting more songs on The Forest Heights.
Check out those tracks from Purple Haze.
