Hah, sorry for this auto-start bullshit...I'll edit that after a couple days here.

But yeah, should we do a coordinated Heights Pushup challenge?
I think I can do about 20 consecutively right now before really exhausting the ammo in my cannons.

I'll bet Keith and Jason are up for this...I'll give it a shot.

We could start this Monday, the 21st or wait till August 1st or somethingggggg...?

wait is this a contest to see who can do 100 or are we trying to reach a collective goal of 100? or are we all trying to do 100 to raise money for some obscure cause? i better hit the streets and gets some pledges in that case.
i will do this. if possible, we should video ourselves doing it for proof! i do 30 pushups a day, which isn't much, but it probably is enough to reach 100.

I'd rather we bench press girls in a bikinis.

what about juggling puppies?

Blogger jason said...

or bench pressing puppies dressed in bikinis...100 times. this way everyone is happy.

OK, sorry, had a funfilled 3 day weekend with Kent "Shashin Gallery" and his last trip to Tokyo before heading back to the States to settle in Chicago.

Yeah, just to do 100 in a row. It's not that huge, but I know that I can't do it now. I think I could maybe handle 40, but it would destroy me.

I occasionally do 15 to 20 pushups on random evenings or mornings, but have little to no consistency with it.

So... here's the page, with a training program to get you to 100 in 6 weeks.

Yes, videotape for proof for sure!

Let's pick a common start date for the beginning of the 6 weeks of training.... Monday the 28th maybe?

JARED! Given 6 weeks of training, with this program apparently, 100 will be no sweat.

Or really sweaty, but just not as touch as one may thinkg.

come oooonnnnnn

ok. 6 week program to 100 pushups starting on the 28th. will do!

Ok I'm in. But if we don't fulfill, what happens? I say the losers have to do 100 knee push-ups, in a bikini bottom, with cat whiskers drawn on their face, on film, for all the heights to see. I for one already have such a video, so joke's on yous.

Hung buns with Josh tonight... convinced him to be ...in...maybe?

I JUST DID TEN PUSH EM UPS and we've still got a few days to go!

What is all this madness? Is it really 100 push ups in a row? By one person?

8:10 PM
Blogger jason said...

check the link. the details are a bit ambiguous but it's either six weeks of training culminating in a glorious one hundred push'ems festival or it's one hundred push'ems tallied over the course of six weeks.
...video taped and then edited together to look like a consecutive string of floor pumping.

so are we going to go monday, wednesday, friday for this first week?

1:08 AM
Blogger imderek said...

i'm in too, obviously.

Blogger ryanerik said...

Hah, funny thing is I put this up without hardly looking into it at all.
But yeah the final goal is 100 in a row, maybe with short breaks between sets of 20 if necessary.

So, around early Sept. I will have a video of myself failing miserably at this.

Blogger Robert Scabbage said...

yes jared, you may be right about us coming in last, but im sure we would tie all these other fitness freaks in a push-OUT competition..

i can already do 100 push-outs, which is just pushing yourself away from a wall and back in, like a vertical push-up

4:27 PM
Blogger Robert Scabbage said...

ryan and others, could we also incorporate into this a deep-knee bend / squat competition?

im pretty sure with all the truckin ive been doing on my bicycle i could rip out some furious squarts..

4:29 PM
Blogger ryanerik said...

You wanna do a video-proof competition of how many times you can squat with me sitting on your shoulders?

You versus Sana.
She's up to like 8 reps... we're pretty into it.

0 push-ups last night dawggssss!
shit..blowing' it already.

wha--!? actually i postponed my strict pushpup schedule to tuesday... i took a look at the program and they recommend setting aside 90 minutes (!) for each day. that's a lot of minutes to spend on just lifting myself off the ground when my legs already have that issue pretty well worked out. anyway, i will do them today

12:41 AM
Blogger ryanerik said...

Yeah, what? I thought it was just like 3 reps of 3 for the first week or something. Maybe I ought to actually look at this fucking training schedule.

10:08 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Shit, what? How many are we supposed to do? I just did the routine once over, but I'm uppoze to do it for 90 minutes??

8:31 PM
Blogger imderek said...

I've just been doing the routine as it says to on the website. I did my three days of training last week and it didn't take me longer than 10-15 minutes each day.

My ribs feel pretty sore.
