Nice Finds During Spring Cleaning
I just stopped by Ikea the other day, and picked up some things to make life easier for me. I bought some a CD shelf to help me organize all the CD's that are in piles around my bedroom. Last night I began to organize stuff, and came across a bunch of CD's I forgot I had.
One is this reissue for *Delta 5* that Kill Rockstars put out in January of 2006.
*Delta 5 - Singles & Sessions 1979 -81*
Ever since I heard the Brooklyn band *ESG*, I have been on the look out for similar sounding dance punk, with female vocals. I would say this stuff comes pretty close to that.
Here are some samples from the *Delta 5* CD:
Delta 5 - Mind Your Own Business
(someone please tell me who did the more popular cover of the above song)
Delta 5 - Colour
The other is this Swedish psych-rock group named *Dungen*.
*Dungen* is a current band. They sound like they could be from the 70's, but no, they're just from Sweden.
They kick-ass, hard. They kicked my ass hard enough for me to special order the Import vinyl before the album was released domestically. I payed close to $30 for it, then ended up getting a free promotional CD when it was released domestically.
Here as some samples from thier album *ta det lugnt*.
Dungen - Panda
Dungen - Lipsill

Didn't Chicks On Speed do that?
I'm sure you know them, but The Slits are good.
I will put up their awesome cover of Heard it Through the Grapevine.
Dungen are good, I've got both their albums in digital form. Don't see the records here at all.
