As For The Diddy Thing.
This is how it went.
1pm: I showed up at the Dakota, and I'm with Derek & Ned. I thought to bring them, because I didn't want to do this alone. Matt Hallman shows up with girlfriend Sarah. We met up with some Fetus people, Ron, Mandy, and Allie, and get some food and soft drinks. Hallman leaves.
1:30pm: The label people are starting to run around with a stressed look. Diddy is running late.
We sit, and talk, thinking of things we might ask Diddy, all the while we're listen to some Diddy music that is playing over the house system.
1:45pm: A woman comes out, and starts handing out Sean John duffle bags. I get one.
1:50pm: I go outside for a smoke, and notice 5 guys with walkie talkies surrounding the enterance. Diddy is on his way, and they're there to keep fans from mobbing him, I assume. No fans are there. I finish my smoke and go back in.
2:00pm: An older white guy gets on stage and thanks everyone for coming, then introduces Diddy, and Diddy walks into the the room to a standing ovation.
Diddy thanks everyone for being there, then thanks everyone for doing their job, and making him a success.
Diddy then tells us that he would like to play the new single feat. Christina Agulera from his up coming album Press Play.
The music starts. It's very loud, and we all sit there and listen. Diddy begins to nod his head to the beat. Others follow Diddy's lead, and begin nodding their heads too.
3 mintues later, and the song is finally over. Everyone cheers. Someone annouces that Diddy doesn't have much time to take pictures, so we can't do individual pictures, but we'll do group pictues, a couple tables at a time. I got up and got in a picture with Ron, Ron's wife, Mandy, Allie, TK, and some other people.
Then Diddy left, and I rode my bike back home.
Today I ran into the event photographer. She gave me her card, and told me to email her for copies of the pictures. Hopefully I'll get those up soon.

You also forgot to mention that Diddy had a blue tooth earpiece in the whole damn time he was there. Are we supposed to honestly think that, while speaking to a room of 30 people, he would actually take a call in front of us? wtf.
apart from this he seemed like a nice fellow, however.
I almost forgot all about that. Now I see things differently. It could just be that he wasn't even talking to us, rather someone on the other side of his blue tooth earpiece.

Still, I'm sure a couple of label people are wishing they had left theirs in, after seeing Diddy with his.
Minnesota's victory and Detroit's loss creates a tie for first place in the AL Central. It's the first time this season that the Twins (who've played 159 games) have been in first place. It's the latest point in a season that a team reached first place for the first time. The previous record was held by the 1964 Cardinals, who gained a share of the top spot for the first time following their 158th game.
The Royals' loss to Minnesota dropped their record to 59-100, the third straight year that they have lost at least 100 games. The last major league team to lose 100 or more games in three consecutive seasons was the 1977-79 Blue Jays, in their first three years as a major league team. The last non-expansion team to do it was the Pirates, from 1952-54.
