Ooh, and while on the subject of MF Doom, I should mention that I just watched the movie Gladiator a couple weeks ago, and there is a part where Russell Crowe puts on a the MF Doom mask to fight with.

In 1972, the Canadian rock/pop group Skylark released their song "Wildflower", which went to Number Eight on the Billboard Top Ten and sold over a million copies.



And in 1973, soul-jazz saxophonists Hank Crawford cut an album for CTI titled Wildflower that included a cover version of the Skylark hit.



Many years later, Hank Crawford's version of "Wildflower" went on to be sampled by these rapper artists listed below.
